Superintendent David Stewart will talk about some of the Hilliard City School’s main initiatives this year.
He will share the new Portrait of Learner, and discuss how the community worked together to define the key competencies all Hilliard students need to graduate.
Another main focus this year will be attendance and how to work together to improve our attendance rates. It might surprise you to hear that last year, 14% of K-4 and about 25% of 6-12 students in our district were chronically absent. Mr. Stewart will talk about his team’s plan to reengage our students and families.
He will also give a financial update, to keep the business community updated.
His main commitment to our community remains the same as it always has: to prepare students to be Ready for Tomorrow, every student, without exception.
This luncheon will be on Friday, August 18 at Heritage Golf Club from 11:30 am-1:00 pm. Reservations must be made by Tuesday, August 15 online or by calling the office at 614-876-7666. Feel free to bring members of your company to this important luncheon. Open to the public.
